122117-5 is an industrial-grade screw air compressor air/oil separator, designed to maintain high purity of the compressed air system.
It is mainly installed in the air-oil separation tank of Quincy high-pressure or large-displacement screw air compressors and serves as a core consumable component of the compressed air purification system.

• Efficient Oil-Gas Separation: Adopts advanced ultra-fine glass fiber coalescence technology to intercept, coalesce and separate suspended oil mist entrained in compressed air.
• Reduced Lubricating Oil Consumption: Efficiently recovers lubricating oil and guides it back to the compressor oil circulation system, significantly mitigating oil carryover of the air compressor.
• Downstream Equipment Protection: Controls residual oil content in exhaust at an extremely low level (1–3 ppm) to prevent oil contamination of main pipelines, dryers, precision filters and terminal pneumatic components.

Inspect the Scavenge Line: When replacing a new filter element, the length of the scavenge line and the check valve must be inspected. The scavenge line must reach the central gasket at the bottom of the separation core (typically 1–2 mm from the bottom), and the line tip must not be blocked. If the scavenge line is too short or blocked, the separated oil cannot drain away, which will cause severe oil carry-over failure. • Static Grounding for Spark Elimination: The interior of the oil-gas separator tank is a high-pressure flammable environment. During installation, ensure the graphite gasket ring or Grounding Staples on the top of the filter element are intact and make firm contact with the metal surface of the separator tank. Do not scrape off the gasket or remove the grounding staples without authorization; otherwise, static sparks may trigger an internal explosion of the tank. • Lubricant Application: When installing the sealing gasket of a new filter element, apply a thin coat of clean air compressor lubricant on its surface to guarantee sealing performance and prevent air bypass leakage.

Monitor Differential Pressure: This is the most scientific basis for judging the condition of the filter element. When the differential pressure before and after the separator reaches 0.08 MPa to 0.1 MPa (approximately 12–15 PSI or 1 bar), it indicates that the filter element is severely clogged and must be replaced immediately. Failure to do so will cause a sharp rise in the energy consumption of the air compressor, or even the collapse of the filter element due to high differential pressure. • Scheduled mandatory replacement: Even if the differential pressure has not reached the critical value, mandatory replacement shall be carried out once the operating hours reach 4000 hours (reduce to 3000–3500 hours under harsh environmental conditions) or after one year of service. • Abnormality troubleshooting: If excessive oil separation is observed in the rear main pipeline, the air storage tank requires frequent oil drainage, or the consumption rate of air compressor lubricating oil increases abnormally, first check whether the 122117-5 filter element is broken through or failed.
